Adrian, and So Forth.
Unauthorized Autobiography:
Adrian was born in a small town. His mother made him wear shabby shoes. He would say, "Mother? Why must I wear these shabby shoes?"
Adrian 's great grandfather, Silas, was a Wild West showman of the Buffalo Bill sort. He once walked across the United States. Adrian 's maternal grandfather was secretly the misbegotten son of an Irish Catholic priest. Adrian 's father and his father's father found lifetime vocations in daily print news. Adrian 's Great Aunt Genevieve was scratched on the head by an appropriately plague-ridden stray kitten, was stricken with Scarlet Fever and perished poetically soon after, age nine, and was buried in a glass coffin, smothered in dramatic roses. (Her spook has appeared at the foot of many a deathbed to call deceasing family members to their glory, or so the eccentric tell it.) Adrian 's older sister Robin is consummately lesbionic. Various combinations of these factors explain everything precisely.
Adrian lives locally but thinks globally.
